Voice
Tours is a series of CD based, audio travel guides.
They
have been specifically produced for the self-drive tourist in
South Africa. Someone who may have done some research on the country,
but wants to have the freedom not offered by tour companies –
yet have interesting and relevant information at their fingertips.
Voice
Tours highlights certain routes, town by town, or feature by feature,
giving enough historical and tourism information to interest you,
even if you are not planning to stop.
The
Voice Tours range is not intended to replace organized tours.
It is, however, intended to enhance your own tour. The actual
experience we leave to you, the independent traveller, to discover
at your leisure. We merely pick out the highlights and essential
information to help you make your own decisions.
Importantly,
our audio guides are very easy to use in a CD stereos or portable
CD players.
Each
CD comes with an easy to read map of the specific route, with
clearly marked track numbers corresponding to featured towns or
attractions.
We
have also included general, handy tips about how things work in
our country.
Currently,
the Voice Tours range covers the Cape Peninsula, the Winelands
& Western Cape interior and the Garden Route & Route 62.
But it will be growing rapidly and soon will cover the whole of
South Africa.
How
does it work?
·
Simply study the map enclosed in the CD case and choose your route
as it suits you.
· Key
attractions on the map are numbered to correspond with the tracks
on the CD.
· Select
the track you want and listen to the information on your way.
· When
you hear a drum roll you will know that you have come to the end
of the track.
· Press
stop, or pause, until you are ready to listen to another of the
tracks.
